J Herbin creates exceptional writing inks, produced using all natural dyes, the composition of which results in a very neutral pH level. J Herbin is one of the oldest names in pen inks in the world. J Herbin was an enterprising French sailor of the mid-17th century who made a number of voyages to India, collecting ingredients and formulas for his sealing wax and inks. He began making pen inks in his Paris workshop around the beginning of the 18th Century with the "Ink of Ships" and the "Jewel of Inks."
Today, J Herbin produces a range of beautiful fountain pen and calligraphy inks, writing instruments, gift sets and accessories. J Herbin inks are made in France, and the finishing touches on the bottles remain hand created in Paris.
